Finding Help for Personal Technology Devices and Software
1. Staff members help new residents and residents with connection problems can request help from the maintenance staff. They can supply or replace splitters and modems for help in connecting up TV sets, phones, and internet connections for resident's computers. Click here for more details regarding the usual connections.
2. Some residents also have family members who are able to help them with their technological devices.
3. The TUG planning group organizes monthly General TUG Meetings where information is presented and residents can discuss their technology problems.
4. The Technology Users Group also has a list of technology volunteers and their areas of knowledge they can offer to other residents. You can find volunteer contact information posted on the bulletin board in the Manor computer room. This room is located in the Hub area across from the nurses office. 5. Finally, if your problem needs a fee for service computer technician, a staff member at the Timbercrest front desk can recommend a local technician.
